A Busy Crufts 2013 Brings Friends Old & New for Gilbertson & Page
13/08/2013
As one of the oldest names in dog food in the UK, we have very long-standing engagements during the year and it can be easy to get into the same old routine. Well, Crufts 2013 certainly wasn’t routine, as the launch of our new Heritage range of Dog Feeds brought a surge in interest.
Of course, when you’ve surrounded by hungry, inquisitive and, frankly, hyper hounds, the easy availability of free samples goes down a treat…. as you can see from this picture taken on the stand.
At times during Crufts, the interest in the Heritage range from dogs and owners alike meant that we weren’t able to spend quite as much time with old friends as we would like to, but it was deeply gratifying to have so many people discussing the new feeds, especially ‘clever’ products like Heritage Sensitive, which we’ve worked hard to formulate properly for sensitive stomachs (please note that it should only be fed to adult dogs).
Over the years, though, we have built-up tremendously strong relationships with people, including some clubs and organisations that we sponsor, and it’s always a pleasure to invite them to join us. This year, the Four Shires Bloodhound Society didn’t so much visit, as take over the entire stand – but it’s easy to understand when you consider the size and energy of these magnificent hounds.
For the Gilbertson & Page team, Crufts 2013 was a highlight of the year so far, and also provided ample evidence that we continue to offer properly-formulated products and non-nonsense service that people (and their dogs) really appreciate. We might have been as exhausted as everyone else, including the show dogs, but we went away with a grin on our faces and looking forward to next year. If you didn’t already know, Crufts 2014 is March 8th to 11th. We look forward to seeing as many of our long-time customers as this year.
